Perri ticked many boxes as a waitress working in LA in the hope of finding success as a musician and performer. Fortuitously, Perri managed to place one of her piano ballads called Jar Of Hearts in the TV show “So You Think You Can Dance”. The reaction to the song was exceptional and it very quickly led to Perri fully releasing the song and signing her recording contract with Atlantic Records. Her debut album Lovestrong was released in May 2011 which enjoyed a platinum level of success.

She also then composed the song A Thousand Years as the love theme for the film “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn”, which went on to sell over 9 million copies. Her follow up album head or heart in 2014 included the song be my forever (feat. Ed Sheeran) Sheeran as well as the lead track human which again performed exceptionally well.
